TRIBUTE to Leonard COHEN

Resultado de imagen de leonard cohen there's a crack in everything that's how the light gets in

Click on GO NEWS first, then read the full ARTICLE and finally enjoy the SONG again.

Here's a summary of the news:
Today The Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal is celebrating its 375th anniversary. It is
presenting the first major exhibition devoted to Leonard Cohen’s legacy. The reason why they
chose Cohen is because he was such an active musician, poet and cultural figure that they
want to show how relevant and powerful he has been to so many people. Besides, Leonard
himself gave his approval to this event shortly before dying.
The title of the exhibition is A Crack in Everything, a crucial line from his song Anthem which
reflects “the beautifully flawed nature of being human”. The tribute is not only limited to a
wide range of displays inside the museum but it also extends to outside thus hoping to attract
as many people as possible.

Listening skills

Just a reminder of the notes about listening skills we discussed in class.

Before the exercise we must read the INSTRUCTIONS very carefully to find out information about: the topic, the speakers, possible distractors and how/where to write our answer.

Look at the layout of the exercise and underline/circle key words.

While the example is playing we can get used to the accent, intonation, rhythm and relax our hearing.
